English Enhancement
English is the medium of instruction at CIE. A non-credit bearing English Enhancement Course will be offered to mainland students during their first year of study. The course helps students to acquire the practical knowledge of English and develop essential skills at using English for tertiary-level learning, gradually building their confidence in communicating with the international language across different settings.
Enrichment Courses
CIE offers the following enrichment courses to increase our students’ language proficiency:
- Cantonese in Daily Life
- IELTS Preparation Module I (Reading and Speaking)
- IELTS Preparation Module II (Writing and Listening)
Students will be taught critical language skills to facilitate active participation in the AD curriculum as well as taking IELTS, one of the most recognised international standardised tests of English language proficiency.
