They shape all aspects of our everyday lives and become interconnected with social relations, labour markets, education, health, security, recreation and other areas of the social world. We have seen changes in the way public services, consumption, and transportation delivered through digital mechanisms such as apps and digital platforms. This brings positives but many challenges remain such as the rise of fake news, cybercrime, misinformation and inequalities generated by digital technologies.
