CIE Students receive the Best Short Film in HKJSECS Inter-school Short Film Competition 2013 (Open Group)

A group of 8 CIE Associate Degree(AD) students received the Best Short Film award in HKJSECS Inter-school Short Film Competition 2013 (Open Group) with the theme “Memoir回憶” organized by the Hong Kong Joint School Electronics and Computer Society (HKJSECS) on 7 August 2013.


The Chinese name of the film is called 《憶戀時空》, produced by the winning crew (弦影攝製) which is formed by AD year 1 students studying Journalism(Li Po Hung) and Film, Television and Digital Media Studies(Tam Kin Pan, Lau Chi Hang, Cheng Ka Yi, Poon Tsz Man, Shum Wing Pui, Lau Yat Kin Jacky and Lau Kin Yee).

 

The team has spent two months to prepare the short movie, including tasks like script writing, casting, storyboard drawing, video shooting and editing. They have gained a lot of movie production experience in this competition. One of the student directors, Tam Kin Pan said, “I can apply the skills that I learnt in the course Multimedia Technology and Applications to the short movie production. Video editing skill is very useful in my daily life. I would like to express my special thanks to my lecturer Mr. Banny Chan for his invaluable coaching and guidance.”
