Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) welcomes the passage of the Post Secondary Colleges (Amendment) Bill 2025 by the Legislative Council today (25 June).

The School of Continuing Education (SCE) of HKBU aims to complete registration as a post-secondary college within the next three years, in accordance with the latest provisions and requirements of the amended Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance. The new college will be committed to enhancing the internationalisation and diversification of higher education, and developing distinctive and professional programmes that address the manpower needs of society.

In line with the Ordinance’s amendments, the University will formulate forward-looking, detailed and feasible transition and development plans, and maintain timely communication with students, faculty, staff, alumni and other stakeholders of SCE through various channels to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the new college, while continuing to provide students with quality learning experiences.
