Division of Arts and Languages

The Division of Arts and Languages offers diverse curricula in the field of language, language arts, music, art, and the humanities. Our colleagues are highly qualified lecturers, a few of whom are also published writers.

Students’ bilingual and critical thinking skills are sharpened through studying both Chinese and English masterpieces. The Division also offers students a solid introduction to theories in various disciplines. Students have many opportunities to showcase their work and talent in print publications, the performing arts, and visual arts.

CIE has close collaborations with the HKBU Academy of Music and the HKBU Academy of Visual Arts, offering Associate Degree students opportunities to be mentored by Faculty professors. Overseas study tours and experiential learning activities are also regularly offered.
